2022 OTIP Support Staff Worker Award

I was so honoured and humbled to be the recipient of the 2022 OTIP Support Staff Worker Award. I am especially proud of this accomplishment because not only am I this years winner, but I am also the youngest recipient thus far to have ever won this award. Not only that, but I am the first person from the Toronto District School Board to win this award, and if that wasn't enough, I am also the first person of colour to ever win an OTIP award in the Support Staff category, making this a historic event.

The OTIP (Ontario Teacher's Insurance Plan) award's presentation ceremony was held last night at a special event at the Hilton hotel in Mississauga Ontario, with thousands of guests visiting from across the province for the very special occasion.

I want to thank OTIP for this incredible recognition. They received thousands of nominations from all school boards across Ontario, and I was the chosen one. I am incredibly proud that the work I've done in education is being acknowledged. Whatever I do, I do for students. Everything I do in education is about helping students succeed and helping them to thrive.
